Hello Everyone
We have three domain controllers running Windows Server 2012 in one site. On two of them DHCP role is installed with DHCP Failover.
After recently installed updates both DHCP+DC role are unable to communicate with each other. (RPC is unavailible) But both can communicate with third DC (w/o DHCP) without any problems. FireWall is off.

I see few errors in eventlogs. For example, DistributedCOM 10028
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer DC2RC.XXXXXXX.com using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID aa0 (C:\Windows\system32\ServerManager.exe).
I think - this is a consequence, not a cause errors
The DFS Replication service encountered an error communicating with partner DC2RC for replication group Domain System Volume.
Partner DNS address: DC2RC.XXXXXXX.com
Optional data if available:
Partner WINS Address: DC2RC
Partner IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
The service will retry the connection periodically.
Additional Information:
Error: 1727 (The remote procedure call failed and did not execute.)

Hello,
please assure that firewalls are open according to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/584.active-directory-replication-over-firewalls.aspx
Also assure to use ONLY the domain DNS servers on the NIC and none externals like the ISP.
An unedited ipconfig /all from all DC/DNS servers will give us help to verify the correct settings.

Hi,
When the File Replication Service(FRS) fails, it could be the deaded "RPC Unavailable" error at work. About how to troubleshoot, please refer to this article:
How IT Works: Troubleshooting RPC error
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.07.howitworks.aspx
And here is a similar issue:
DFS Replication failed
Hope this helps!
Regards.
