Using IE7 or IE8 we're connecting to a remote digital video recorder that has surveillance cameras attached using http://<DVR ip address>.

It loads an ActiveX control that displays the camera images.

This works fine in Windows XP 32 and 64 bit, in Windows 7 64-bit. It does not work on server platforms 64-bit Windows 2003 and 2008.

Is there a restriction on server platforms that prevent ActiveX controls to display streaming video?

    It concerns 600series.ocx from Bosch.
