Windows Server 2003 auto restart - EVENT ID 1005 / 1001 (Source Save Dump)
- Hi All,
urgent help require. recently i am facing big issue that my server auto restart itself. When i check the Event show as below:
Event ID:1005
Source: Save Dump
Description: unable to produce minidump file from the full dump file
Event ID: 1001
Source: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description: the computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was 0x00000027 (0xb550d76c, 0xb550d468, 0xb550d468, 0x8846165e). A dump was saved in C:windows\memory.dmp
Please advise and hope able to provide me a better solution to avoid my server restart itself again.

You computer is crashing and the information in the event log is used to troubleshoot the issuee.
Google: "Stop 0x00000027" and you may find some articles that may lead you in the right direction. Sorry, but there just isnt' enough information in the post to diagnose the issue.
If you are interested in you and down load a microsoft diagnostic debugger tool that will analyze the memory.dmp file and may help as well.

Please install Windows Server 2003 SP2 and the hotfix KB952785 on the server and check the result:
List of updates in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2

If the issue persists, we need to analyze the crash dump file to identify the cause of the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot help you analyze dump file in Forum. To troubleshoot this problem efficiently, I suggest that you speak directly with a Microsoft Support Professional so that the crash dump can be analyzed.

A better and quick solution is to analyze the dump , but please follow joson suggestion and then manually configure the complete memory dump [not small dump or kernel memory dump ]
Also before configuring the memory dump you need to set the page file size 1.5 times of your RAM .
