    Hi,

    How to find a new entry in Active Directory. I monitor the AD on daily basis. I can’t find which the new Entry in OU’s.

    Especially I faced more critical to find new computer object under Computers.

    Is there any way to find it.

    Thanks for your update

     

    Yes, this can be done by the search feature in Active Directory Explorer utility ,please following the workaround below to achieve your goal.

     

    ·         Open the utility and connect to your domain.

    ·         Navigate to the “Computers” container in left tree ,right click it and choose “Search Container”

    ·         In Search Container window, choose “computer” class.

    ·         Add two conditions to search

     

    Displayname  notempry

    whenCreated notempry

     

    ·         Click Search to show all the results .

    ·         Now you could get the newly joined computer by click “whenCreated” column in result .

    ·         Save the search by click “SAVE” botton, so that you could perform same search in future.

    LDAP search is the recommaned method to filter objects in Active Directory .

     

    Meanwhile here are some utilities for you to easily search and monitor Active Directory database .

    Dear Frnds,

    Thanks for mail to me.

     You told about LDAP Search option along with AD.

    One computer object is added with domain today, that name should be dispalay under AD>Builin>computers.

    My qstn is how do I find which is newly joined computer?

    Hi Tiger Li,

      The felt very good to work with ADexpolrer tool. It is very useful to me.

    But I face some issue with ADInsight, whnever I excute and Click open option, It goes to open some document.

    I don't know how to trace by using ADInsight..

    I hope you will helpme.
