    Hello,

    I am having and issue where I log on to the server that takes about 1-3 minutes for the preparing your desktop to go away and then a solid blue desktop with no icons shows up. I am also unable to hit ctrl + alt delete to see what is going on.  This issue only happends when I enable nic teamming on the OS. Os is booing from a san (netapp 3240). Using cisco server b230 m2 with a san boot profile. I spoke with cisco about aquiring new drivers and they seem to think that is not a driver issue, that it is within windows. I have checked dns and the switches 's logs and there are no errors to report. If i disable nic teamming, the log in is mutch faster. (there are random times that the log in is very quickly when the nic teamming is enabled, but majority of the time it hangs at preparing your desktop) Any help would be very, very appriciated. I been working on this issue for a weak now and cannot seem to find the cause of the issue

    Hi,

    Regarding the slow logon issue, I suggest we could try to refer to the following KB articles to see whether the issue continues.

    The Welcome screen may be displayed for 30 seconds during the logon process after you set a solid color as the desktop background in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

    Hi,

    This issue occurs because the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) component unnecessarily performs a full validation of the WMI repository. and full validation of the WMI repository is a time-consuming operation.

    So there is a hot fix for this you ca get,

    Hello,

    Andy qi, Thks for the links. I already had view the links you have provided and fixexs were install with no change.

    Akshay V., Server did not have the kb2617858 patch, I will test it with this new fix for the next few days and see how it acts. Just to let you know that this issue is not consistent. There random times where it will load the desktop within seconds. But, must of the times it hangs at the blue desktop with no icons and ctrl + alt + delete does not work. I have the lates updates on both server and no viruse programs have been install yet. This servers also have been re-formated and a clean windows has also been re-installed.  Thanks again for all your help.
