    There is a problem with windows explorer when you click on a file to rename it hangs. If you click on a file to delete it takes about 10 minutes then will eventually delete. I have taken all the updates the problem is still there in safe mode, Not sure when it occured was working fine when installed but as this is a live server domain controller only server on site.

    I suggest you

    • Check the performance of server whether any active processes consuming CPU.Might be CPU is busy with some other processes.
    • Check any background processes are in running state.
    • Disable all unneeded services/ports.

    Does this problem happen when operating both local files and files on a remote server? And as it happens in Safe Mode as well, I’d run sfc /scannow to check system files and perform HDD/RAM diagnosis.
