Exchange 2007 SMTP relay

Tuesday, January 29, 2013 12:02 AMHello,I am trying to update an alert system from a Dell Chassis Controller unit. Previously we were using Exchange 2003 and recently upgraded to 2007. I successfully entered the IP address of the controller to the previous Exchange relay and emails were able to flow through. Now, when I add the receive connector into the Hub Transport screen with that IP address, my controller keeps telling me that it cannot speak to the SMTP server. The only difference between the old Exchange and the new, the old used to also be a Domain Controller, the new one is not.Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I tried Dell support with no luck.

You need to check your send connector, not the receive connector. Be sure it's selected as none for the security.
