    Cannot manually join Windows XP client to Windows Server 2012 Essentials domain. Although it sees the domain, it fails with to join with..."Logon failure; account currently diabled".

    Notes: I'm connecting the PC to the server for the first time, and the PC was used in another domain previously, but I returned into a workgroup and also changed the computer name.  

    Any ideas?

    Hello 1manaquest,
    did you already check under Active Directory User and Computers the User Account used to join Windows XP Client to domain is not disabled ?

    "Logon failure; account currently disabled" please check the user account you are working with.
