I want to remove my Windows 2003 server in a Functional Level 2003 Domain

I have 2-2008 R2 64bit domain controllers and 1-2003 x86 domain controller. I plan to raise the level in the near future but can't do it now. We are moving to a new location and don't want to take the 2003 domain controller with us. Can I demote the 2003 domain controller without raising the functional level to 2008.

the best practice is rise the domain functional level and remove the 2003 machine
but still if you want to remove that machine shut down the 2003 mahcine rise the domain functional levels and delete the entry from Sites and services .. and add 2003 server ip additional ip to the primery domain 2008 .. make sure you have additional DNS server on 2008 R2 ....so it could will have all the records on the additional DNS..
both ways you can do... it's so simple and not consuming much time ... and still in the same network still using the same dns
prIor to go ahead
