I have a similar problem with windows server 2008 R2 on a VM. It totally filled the 25 GB disk for C:\ drive and went to la-la land. I thank heavens it was on a VM. I was able to expand the C:\ drive by 10 GB. The next time I looked
the system was using 29 GB. Microsoft this is ridiculous! Look at the following output from your SysInternals disk usage program. The OS is using 78% of the disk and winsxs is using 60% of that. Don't give me any guff about winsxs
pointing to other places. Even your own programs say this is the worst kind of bloatware. If I'd been on a real hard disk I'd probably be spending hours if not days recreating my server from scratch. Thanks a lot! If you can't tell
I'm a bit upset. How can I get this under control?
