    Anyone know about it? Anyone at all?

     CNAME record allows you to use multiple names for the same IP address. This way, you can have users access the same server for separate functions, such as FTP1.domain.com and WWW.domain.com.

    Note: Cname records (Canonical Name Records) are also called as Alias Records.


    A Record is also called as the Host Name Record it is the mapping from Host Name to an Ip address.
