    Good day.

    I noticed, that during standard Windows search in documents (by content), explorer.exe loads a single CPU core at 100%.

    It was found that the processor is load by thread shlwapi.dll!, and load when searching in large files (several megabytes).

    Someone faced, maybe there's patch from Microsoft correcting this problem?

    P.S. Windows Server 2003 SP2

    Hello, 

    Logon to the server with other user name and check the CPU status. If it is low then we can suspect the high CPU problem is because of corrupted profile.

    Also check whether file system is dirty or not using command chkntfs c: & check disk for errors using command chkdsk
