    Dear Experts,

    Is this possible to   disable print and save as option  that is on shared file with read only access in windows 2008 server

    You may try using the Rights Management services from windows 2008 to protect the documents.

    You should be able to restrict usage of individual documents in Word using the document protection feature.  You may be able to lock down some things in the file permissions, but file permissions are very generic, and may not be what you are after.  It is also worth mentioning that the PDF format has these features as well, and is a great way to lock down access to the contents of a document.  That is, after all, what the PDF is for.

    Dear Expert Mike,

    I understand your point but still but my scenario is diff. like same user has save and print permision where as same user had read only access some files that is  on shared folder in server 2008.

    ie not for all file and folder but some specific folders and file only read only access.
