The Launch Game people need to be fired. They have dropped the ball AGAIN! I'm one of the so-called "winners" of the Launch Game, and this has been nothing but trouble right from the start.
First, they gave us a bad E-mail address to claim our prize. Next, they have been impossible to reach with the most basic of questions. Are you reporting this prize to the government for our corporation? We should not be facing a personal tax liability on the prize. We need it reported as a prize to the company. Well, no response from them ... no response to any of my questions about this for weeks. Any message you send to the LaunchGame address goes into a black hole. Finally, today we get the last straw.
The way they are giving out these 6-month Azure subscriptions is that you get it as a 6-month trial account ... A SEPARATE, NEW ACCOUNT! Morons. You have to know that many of the Launch Game winners already have production Azure accounts. Why the heck would we want or need a separate account? What do you think? You think we are going to transfer all of our production apps over to the trial account for 6-months then back to our regular Azure subsription? What a bunch of goobers. Fire them. I think MS used some third party jokers to handle this. Fire them, please Scott ... get rid of these jokers.
I don't want this "prize," but now they have given me this second Azure account. Next, they are going to report it to the government. Now, I'll have to pay taxes on a useless prize ... a prize that has been *no* prize to have to claim and deal with. I wish I had never gotten involved in that stupid Lanuch Game. It has caused nothing but frustration and aggrivation, and I don't have time for this crap.
Could everybody dealing with the horror of the Launch Game please Tweet Scott Guthrie (@scottgu) and see if you can help me encourage him to fix this. I mean "fix this" by firing those jokers who are handling the Launch Game! What a farce.
