    HELLO,

I got this error the application specific permission settings do no grant local activation permission for the COM server application with CLSID (6DF8CB71-153B-4C66-8FC4-E59301B8011B) and APPID (961AD749-64E9-4BD5-BCC8-ECE8BA0E241F) to the user NT SERVICE\SQL server Distributed replay Client SID (S-1-5-80=3249811479-2167633679-2115734285-1138413726-166979568)from address Local Host(Using LPRC).this security permission can be modified using the component sevices administration tool. I went to online help which told me to go to component services then on my computer prperties on security tab modify some permissions  under access permissions and launch and activation permissions. so I gave the sql and enterprise administrator fuul controlbut it didn't solve the problem, then I gave NETWORK SERVICE full control, but it did not help. I don't know what to do.any suggestions.

    thanks

    first thanks for your response,

when I go to this site .the instruction telling me to go to component services then to computer opion and then my computer option and then click COM+ applications .untill here is OK and now it is telling me to right-click the application name. now I wonder wich application name  I have to click on it,because when I click on COM+ applications I see 5  applications name  .

1- COM+ explorer    2- COM+ QC Dead letter Queue Listener   3-COM+Utilities         4-COM+ Utilities(32bit)    5-system application    which of those application properties I have to open and in security tab what I have to change.

but there is under security tab of sytem application only authentication level for calls you can modify

    none

    connect

    call

    packet

    packet integrity

packet privacy                which authenticates credentials and  data savety. what you can do here,I think there is  nothing here to modify.

    hello,

I tried your second option DCOM error10016,

when I go to HKEY CLASSES ROOT I don't see directly CLSID name under this tree. I tried the search option to find it and I found first name under HKCR tree and then when I  right click on it  I get to names on the rihgt window  default and CLSID .

first  I checked the CLSID value here, but it is not the same  value I wrote above in event properties. what is your suggestion  inthis case?

second when I go to DCOM in component services - computers-mycomputer -Dcomconfig which program name I have to click on it to open the properties box, because in registry there is no names related with CLSID value either.

    Hi David,

Are you using any specific application on this server like management SWs. If so, select that program name enter CLSID value.
