    HI

    I Problem about Reverse Delegation for DNS (IN-ADDR.ARPA). i transfer of ISP to my Company with change NS record an run DNS service in Windows 2003 and i forward zone work probably,

    but my reverse zone not work when i define ptr record.

    ----------------------------------------------

    my reverse zone SOA is :

    serial number : 2012060101

    primery server : ns2.mydomain.com

    responsible person : admin.mydomain.com

    refresh interval : 8 hours

    retry interval : 10 min

    expires after : 4 hours

    minimum ttl : 1 days

    ttl for this record : 3 : 1 : 0 : 0

    -------------------------------------------

    which record i must define in reverse zone ?

    What is the problem?

    please help me to resolve this problem

    Hello, 

    In DNS server console, Have you followed the steps which are in reverse look-up zone wizard.? At some point of time it will ask for network ID, Have you mentioned correct network ID of your DNS server, if not, give proper network IP address(i.e. first 3 dotted decimals) of your DNS server and check.

    Also I suggest you check Event log for DNS error/warning events.If you find any post here.
