On a Windows 2008 R2 server with Hyper-V  there is a  virtual machine  running  XP sp3  named "VM_1".

I can access VM_1  from inside the server using Hyper-V manager.

I can also access it via RDC from inside the server and it gives me the full screen and higher resolution

The VM_1 can access the Internet. I tested it using the browser.

Now, my question is: How can I access  VM_1 remotely, via RDC without going through the server?

The simplest way is to put the vm in the same network as the machine/network you want to access it from. How is networking configured on the guest now?

When you open Virtual Network Manager from Hyper-V Manager, there are three types of virtual network which can be created: External, Internal and Private. Yous should use external network for your VM1 and also you should have dedicated public ip address or port mapping from the router to the VM1 to access it fro, the internet.
