    I have recently upgraded my DC to Windows Server 2008 R2. We recently had some authentication issues and up doing dcdiag on one of the DC I found that the dcdiag does not complete. It just sits there:

    Performing initial setup:
       Trying to find home server...
       Home Server = ABCDC
       * Identified AD Forest.

    Any suggestions are welcomed.

    Do you have another DC in your domain, or it's the only's one ?

    Missing some FSMO's role maybe or a DNS's issue.
