Log server shutdown

Hi,
I'm in great need of a tool that can log what's happening while a server shut down. I've got some servers that hang on reboot. I want too know what process stops the shut down cycle.
I have tried with Process Monitor, but that's more monitoring of start up phase. And the log would become tremendously big if used in 24 hour for instance.
Best Regards
/Tomas

You can use GFI event manager tool. It capture all logs, and stores them in SQL/MS database.
Please check : http://www.gfi.com/eventsmanager
