    Hello All,

We just purchased an MIS software that required a new server to be purchased. We went with the ProLiant350e Gen8 Server. It just came in and I have an old install disk for Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition that we used to install on our Domain Controller Server. The Paperwork that came with the disk shows that it includes 5 licenses and the Domain Controller is the only computer I have installed with 2008 R2. Upon starting up the new ProLiant server I booted from CD-Rom and got to the Windows Install program. I entered in the Region, Currency, Language, etc. Than clicked "Install Now" It than brings me to a screen that says to select the operating system that you want to install. However, as soon as this page loads it gives me an error that says "Load Driver" "A required CD/DVD Drive Device Driver is Missing. If you have a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." It gives me the option to browse or click okay. Browse only brings up the (x:) Boot drive and doesn't appear to have anyting useful in it. Than if I click okay it gives me a message that says "No Device Drivers were found. Make sure that the Installation media contains the correct drivers and then click ok" I have done some Google searching and it looks like others have had success with downloading a new ISO file and using that on a dvd/cd and loading it from there. Not sure if that is an option or the best way to go or maybe I can pull the files I might need from the Domain Controller that already has the OS on it, etc. I guess at this point any suggestions or help would be useful.

    Thanks in advance,

    Josh

You'll want to use the Intelligent Provisioning feature of your new server to install an operating system.

Thank you sir. This was pretty self explanatory once you get into the Intelligent Provisioning.
