What is the difference between MPIO and Team? Can someone tell me? Thanks
With MPIO you basically have path A and B and someone (MPIO client) breaks the whole trunser into serie of chunks and delivers them via path A and B one-by-one A-B-A-B- etc (assuming Round Robin serving policy). With teaming you get virtual path C create from
both A and B and client application talks via path C and teaming layer takes care of splitting requests so they would be delivered via A and B @ the same time. Teaming is more generic (as client basically does not know how many physical paths are gethered
into virtual path it uses and should not know - that's the point) but MPIO is more effective at the end of the day.
