How do i properly remove old domain user accounts from Server 2003 R2 32bit Enterprise term sever?

What is the best way to remove these accounts from our term severs? Is it a bad idea to just manually delete files of the users that are no longer part of the domain? I ran across this article but it is not specifically for this version of windows. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315411 Is the delprof.exe command supported in my version of Windows? Running out of hard drive space any opinions would be helpful.

The Delprof.exe tool helps delete the profiles on a local machine or a remote machine and it also applies to Windows Server 2003.
