What is the first business-oriented version of Windows?

As the title says it all, I shall simply give a little background on why I'm asking. I'm a student at ECPI University, currently taking a course on Operating Systems. One of our assignments specifically asks for the first business version of Windows.
Now, our courseware states that it was Windows NT 3.1, release July 26, 1993. There are many websites I've found, thanks to Google, where users list Windows for Workgroups 3.11, released August 11, 1993, as being the first. Logic screams at me that the earliest release must be the correct answer, but with so many voices screaming otherwise, it'd be nice to receive some official word.
I've checked the official history on the Microsoft website, but all it says is "Windows NT 3.1 is a 32-bit operating system, which makes it a strategic business platform that supports high-end engineering and scientific programs." This can easily be misleading, since WFW 3.11 is also a 32-bit operating system, not to mention designed for, as its name implies, workgroups.
I'm sure I'm asking too much for a mere student, but is it possible to get some sort of official ruling on this topic?

I don't think there will be an "official" answer as it may depend on particular use and or needs but you might check here.

Hello. I do not think there is an official answer either but if I had to choose, I would say NT3.51 because it brought unprecedented level of security necessary for businesses to secure their networks. IMHO.Miguel Fra | Falcon IT Services, Miami, FL
