Error installing update KB2756872

Hello folks
Installed Windows Server 2012 as an upgrade from a Windows Server 2008 SP2. This was done on a VM to test the process. Upgrade proceeded ok, with no errors.
When trying to install Windows Updates it fails installing KB2756872. This VM runs a SQL Server instance and IIS, nothing else. I tried to manually install the update by downloading it from the KB page, with the same result. From the WUSA log:
Windows update "Update for Windows (KB2756872)" could not be installed because of error 2147956504 "The file is not a part of the assembly." (Command line: ""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "C:\temp\Windows8-RT-KB2756872-x64.msu" ")
Any ideas on how to install this and continue with the next round of Windows Updates?

Thanks for your suggestion, but this did not solve the problem.
