QuestionNTFS rights in Search Server 2008

"The default content access account must not be a member of the Farm Administrators group; otherwise, the Search Server 2008 Search service indexes unpublished versions of documents."

    • However we do not publish anything, the users presses save in World and other documents.

    Can this be clarified.
Do the crawl fully respect all NTFS rights, and do not display any result,
the current “search” user normally would
    not se,
based on its own NTFS right, on the items crawled, by search server.

    Hi Steinar,

What is the operation system version do you have encountered the error?

What is the detail error message you can see when it appears?

please take a screenshot of it and send to us via tfwst@microsoft.com

    Best Regards,

    David Shen

    HI,
Well it’s not a problem, I just need to clarify that the crawl account

do not grant any search user any rights to view, or open any document

that the search user are not  granted access to; through AD/Ntfs rights.
