MS10-024 Patch reset SMTP configuration to default when installed

Hi all,
I'm just trying to get the word out that applying MS10-024 onto a Windows 2008 server with SMTP it will reset all of the SMTP settings to their defaults.
For example, our Windows 2008 IIS Servers have SMTP installed and we allow relaying to these SMTP servers from our Internal IP address subnet. After applying MS10-024 the servers lost their custom relay settings.
I was able to reconfigured my SMTP servers without issue to correct the problem.
Can MS10-024 be fixed?
Or, can very clear information about the SMTP configuration reset be added to the KB article(s) related to MS10-024?
Thanks,
Phil Mattson

Hi All,
I would encourage to post in Microsoft Exchange Forum, as the Update is related to MS Exchange and engineers would certainly have an idea about the problem. Please post in the below forum.

Very funny! More than 20 servers reconfigured. No more automatic updates!
