    Trying to upgrade to 2012. But wizard stopped with error. In log file I've founded folllowed

    2013-01-04 16:27:54, Error                        MigStartupOnline caught exception: Win32Exception: Invalid machine account for PROXY: The name provided is not a properly formed account name. [0x00000523] class UnBCL::String *__cdecl Mig::COnlineWinNTPlatform::GetMachineSid(class UnBCL::String *)

    Could you please let us know the error? It seems like the Windows upgrading process failed at the stage of profile migration. Please post the entire setuperr.log.


    A common cause of the problem is that certain files in your profile fold are being locked by Antivirus or other processes. You can try again with the Antivirus turned-off or uninstalled. Also try start Windows in Clean Boot and run upgrade.

    There war a full err.log unfortunately

    No, I don't have any anti virus software.

    Could you post the full log you mentioned? If the log is too redundant, upload it to skydrive so we can take a look at it.

    Additionally, according to the error above, I wonder if PROXY is the computer name of this server. If yes, you may try rename the server and try run upgrade again.
