    Hello,
I just installed Hyper-V (Windows server 2008 R2) but I do not know how to go further. For example, add a driver, create a virtual machine, ...
Can you tell me what is the reading material for configuring the hypervisor from the console without the GUI available when Hyper-V is a role of a standard windows server?
    Regards,
    Joel

    Joel,

Since you have the role installed already you need to enable remote management of the server.  Follow this document to allow you to access to the commands required to complete the install. It's at the bottom of the doc.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc794756(WS.10).aspx

Once you run the commands you can then manage the server and make VM’s from a remote “admin” machine.

    Hope this helps

Thank you Joe, but what I'm searching, is how to control HyperV from the console. HyperV is installed on my notebook and I want to use Hyper-V as an hypervisor to launch guests OS instead of use the classical multi boot method. The other problem I've encountered with version "Core" Windows Server is that I do not know how to manage the configuration (install driver for example) from the console. The "Help" command returns only some legacy commands. I would like get a kind of User Guide management for core server,  be able me to do from the console the same things I can do from the GUI.
    Best regards,
    Joel

If you want to configure Hyper-V from the CMD command line console, it’s recommended that you read the following guide for Windows Server 2008 Server Core Edition.
