Does anybody tried to install Debian to an VM of Hyper-V?

Were there any problems with the network device?

It wasn't possible for me to choose the right device.

Are you having problems finding the virtual NIC in the VM?  Did you create a legacy network adapter in the VM settings in the Hyper-V UI?

While I haven't used Debian in a VM, I've used Ubuntu, which is Debian based.

Make sure you have a legacy network adapter added in the settings and not a synthetic one.

Debian should detect it just fine after that and assign the tulip driver to it, but you may have to set the IP parameters for you network, some of the defualts are kind of strange in Linux lately.
