I'm running x64 2008 Server Enterprise with Service Pack 2, and one of my Hyper-V VM's is x64 Vista Ultimate.  I try and install the Integration Services and it says I need to upgrade to a newer version of Windows.  The vmguest.iso works fine with x32 Vista Ulitmate, and (incidentally) is running setup.exe from the x86 folder.  KB950050 mentions x64 version of Integration services, but Service Pack 2 has this KB rolled into it, and I can't find an x64 version of vmguest.iso.

How do I get Integration services to install in my x64 Vista Ultimate child (guest) partition?

    Hi,

After you perform “insert Integration Services setup disk”, the Integration Services setup file will run automatically. If it doesn’t run, you can located to X64 folder to run the setup.exe. I have several Windows Vista X64 VMs on Windows Server 2008 SP2 Hyper-V host and didn’t encounter your issue.

Please try to install another Windows Vista X64 VM to test whether you get the same issue.

In addition, I’d like to confirm whether you get the same issue with Windows Server 2008 SP2 X64 VM.

    Best Regards,
