Hello Everybody,
I have seen the new feature of Hyper-v in windows 2012 called Extensible switching. To leverage the feature I have to install some third party tools from 5nine, how ever what I understood is its a firewall feature. What I dont understand is why can't I use ISA server or Forefront TMG, why to use extensible switching feature.

You can still use those different software options as part of your network architecture. Extensible switch simply gives access to the virtual switch stack. There is a great diagram at the bottom of this page, but the information is a must-read to understand.
