I have decided to upgrade my File server from windows server 2003 to Longhorn 64-bit.  My first challenge seems to be in getting a MS virtual server back up and running.  I decided to also use the new MS virtual Server 2005 R2, and when I get started on the install it tells me: the IIS Web services and IIS Admin services to be running.  I have "Added" the IIS role on my server but not sure where to add the Admin service, and I can't seem to find the old add remove windows components.  I do find the IIS manager page, but this causes me to worry it's not yet compatible.  My main question is, am I trying to bite off more than a Beta can chew?  will this combination work?

I have this scenario working in a 32-bit environment. I installed the Web Server (IIS) role and within Features, I have the Windows Process Activation Service installed, which goes along with IIS. Additionally, I made sure that all of the necessary IIS Role Services were installed and running. Hope this helps.

I agree with the above, have a semi production server running with 2 virtual servers ( 1 SBS2003R2 + 1 server2003R2) on a HPDL380G4 4GB mem and one raid 1 and one raid 5, has been up for 35 days, no problems, fast backup, very good performance.

SBS is serving about 6 workstations, internal & external mail accounts. server 2003 is serving two websites (only 728MB mem), terrific performance
