    Hi ,

I have installed server 2008 on IBM X3655 server which is a SAS controller. Steps i followed are wrritten below.

    1) Installed windows server 2008  build 6001 on IBM server X3655 on local drive.

    2) Installed windows virtual role on the server.

    3) Created a Virtual Machine with media and choosed Option Image file and browsed ISO image of windows 2003.

    4) Once Virtual Machince started and throws unable to install no drivers modules found.

    5) IBM has provided Server Guide CD which has the drivers for installing windows OS[ Server 2003 , 2000 ] when used media and choose option CD drive then it boots and then tells since RAM size should be 256MB unable to load server guide.

    6) Under virual Machince setting in memory i have specified 2000MB has RAM size.

How can i solve this problem. Pls help me.

You need to install the integration components inside the virtual machine in order for the VHD's that are connected to the SCSI bus to be seen.

I wonder what happens if you apply a commonly accepted RAM size to the Virtual Machine.

In real servers you wouldn't find 2000MB very easily... 2048MB would be more common.

Booting off something else than SAS might also prove to be more satisfactory.

Hey i tried with 256MB too it does not work the figured out the error i tried with IDE drive and it started working, But when i use SCSI drive it is not detecting the drive and suppiled drivers too in a floppy still no luck.

I have not tried to install on a Storage LUN which is FC drive.

You need to install the Integration Components.  You can do this by running the Virtual Machine Connection and selecting 'Insert Integration Services Disk' from the Action menu.
