Terminal Services@windows 2008Server R2 64Bit - Printer redirection Problem

Hello.
I am having the following issue:
On my local machine, I have "Send to OneNote 2010" Printer and "CutePDF Writer" Printer and some others Phisical printers.
Every time I log on into my terminal server (And I want to redirect printers) I send me one Blank page to the CutePdf writer and another to Send to Onenote printer. All the other printers are ok.
How can I solve this? What I want is to redirect all printers, but I don't want my server to print one blank page to my pdf printer or one note printer every time I log on...

Check what process open on your TS when you connect.
Start menu -> Startup, GPO with script, login script, etc..
It's a unusal thing that your connection make a printout.. In my prod environnement I have pdfcreator on the TS and it's not making that at all.

if suitable for your needs:
option 1: before you connect your RDP session, expand the options, go to the local resources tab and uncheck printers.
option 2: Go to the server, Administrative Tools, Terminal Services Configuration, open the properties of the RDP-tcp connector, On the Client Options tab, check the box to Disable Printer Mapping.
option 3: uninstall OneNote printer at the client's PC
option 4: use RSOP.msc Computer/User Configuration -> Policies -> Adminsitrator Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Printer Redirection -> Redirect only the default client printer- Edited by Sergey Shaleniy Wednesday, November 21, 2012 5:56 PM

Thursday, November 22, 2012 12:39 PMdo you have Samsung multifunction printer installed? Sometimes it helps to kill scan2print process.

The TS group said the client machine is running an application that opens and closes the printer port. I assume the TS redirected port.

This is caused by CutePdf Writer, for sure.
Don't know how to solve it.
I am using EasyPrint Driver first.
Any Ideas?

Hi Rsilva,
as a test I've installed both CutePDF wirter and OneNote 2010 on win7 x64 ENT and during TS to W2k8R2 I am not experiencing such issue... It seems that some third-party app is doing that.

Hi!
I made a fix: Do a reg file with the following code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR]
"FilterQueueType"=dword:ffffffff
It's working for me now.

this is really weird.. I thought this fix is for w2k3 only. Also, If you had your port types filtered (wihout this fix) it is more likely that those printers will not be redirected at all, but my consideration was that those printers are visible in TS.
Anyway, if it works, it is good to know.
Thanks!
