I would like to print from a Linux client over LPR to a Windows printer. In that case the job owner will be published in the queue with the IP addres of the client. Fro account I like to use the username but the Ip addres has to be removed since DHCP is used what will result is differnt user names.

Is thre a way to remove the IP adres from the job owner paramere when printing in this way?

    No.

Okay, yes, but you will need to use some other LPD service.  Windows LPD services creates the user name with the IP.
