    Hello

    I am using operating system windows vista and my system in domain. 

    I am trying to change my password by ctr l+alt+Del next option change password

    I typed old password and typed new password  i am getting error msz user name and password incorrect

    any other option change password in my laptop, i don't want to change the password from domain server

    How to change password...?

    Please do the needful.

    Q: Do You remember the old password?

    I think that Your machine remember another password maybe from cach .

    Check this first .

    Dear shuki ,

    Yes i know old password i am getting error past 3 months.

    So i am system administrator i am reset password in active directory.

    But i am not changing laptop password, i am surely laptop problem

    any more else ..?

    pls reply me solution ...

    OK ,

    Try to disconnect Laptop out of the domain  - and bring it back .

    I think it's a GPO case  ,

    Something not get clear from the DC .

    What about other machines? any problems?

    This machine network access working fine but problem only password.

    I understand it's a password problem , 

    But You have to think about why Your OS not get changed from the AD , 

    Because of it - I recommended to disconnect Laptop out of the domain  - and bring it back  .

    ok understand this is not possible

    because i don't know local administrator password, another laptop different problem local administrator password reset than remove domain i am longing but local administrator password not accepted.

    in case same problem last option format laptop and data lost.

    any more solution ..?

    NO format!

    Reinstall Your OS without format data lost

    Reinstall Your OS and the administrator will fixed

    And until know i didn't know it's about local admin

    Sure it will fix  Administrator User and would provide permissions for change password .

    Another way is to comes up with ERD BOOTABLE CD and change the password .

    Final solution reinstall OS...?

    Look for ERD on the net and use him as bootable

    My problem solve

    Problem active directory

    Solution first remove domain and change laptop name automatic create new active directory old name delete and create new laptop name

    now solve this problem
