I just wanted to verify that you cannot select an x86 Windows O/S task sequence when using a x64 WinPE? Vise-Versa you cannot select a x64 Windows O/S task sequence when using an x86 WinPE

I believe this is due to the x64 WinPE not including the SysWOW components for the x86 architecture?

We are looking to utilize 1 WinPE image instead of 2 in our environment.

Just looking for further clarification on why this is from MSFT's

    Thanks

I think this will not run.

I know if we use a x86 boot.wim from vista sp1 or 2008 disk, we can use it to load both x86 and x64 install images.    For mdt deployment point, I suspect it will not work. But anyway you can hav a try. Also you can check both x86 and x64 for “Platforms supported” on the General tab of the deployment point. Try that and see if it will load both x86 and x64 task sequencers.

I've tried your suggestion already and that doesn't work.

    Thanks for your input.
