    Hello,

I am having an issue with WSUS at my work. I am in charge of deploying updates, and they are set to be deployed on Tuesdays at Midnight, however, when I deploy them I am getting the updates as early as 30 minutes later and as late as the next day, instead of the ACTUAL TUESDAY following Acceptance of the Update. The GPRESULT /H shows that it is being "deployed" on Tuesdays, but it never does. How do I fix this?

Second issue, I am running GPUPDATE /FORCE on users systems for them to update the Group Policy to get the updates, however, with the last two systems I have done this on (new systems that were setup), they are not being added. These were the first two I have done in a few weeks, and in that period between updates I have done Windows Updates for the server. What can be the cause of this? Everybody else is getting updates and everything is fine, except these two machines. How do I fix this issue?

    Please advise.

First we have to better define the problem.

    1. Are they not being configured to be a WSUS client?, or
    2. Are they not communicating with the WSUS server at all?, or
    3. Are they not appearing in the WSUS console when they should?

If #1, are the in the correct orgUnit? Is the GPO being applied to the client?

If #2, what error(s) are logged in the WindowsUpdate.log?

    If #3, see KB903262.
