WSUS and IIS integration

OK, have WSUS up and running on a new Windows 2012 build. It's actually syncing with Microsoft correctly. I'm seeing the updates. I'm able to approve them and get them ready to send out to the unwashed masses here at the office.
However, for the life of me, I cannot get a single client to see the server. I've got the GPO setup correctly. (I believe.) However, I know it's more basic than that, because if I attempt to hit http://<servername>/iuident.cab ? IE promptly reports to me that the website can't be found. If I go to the "normal" http://<servername>, the IIS8 banner shows up in all its glory.
Now...I'll be the first to admit that IIS isn't my forte...but I have a sneaky suspicion that something has run amok, or is foul within the state of IIS. (Not Denmark, as assumed by literate types.)
Any suggestions as to where to start digging into IIS to determine where the connection between IIS and WSUS might be broken?

And it really, really, really helps if you actually assign a group to have access to the GPO that you've created. Once I went ahead and created and assigned a computer group? Worked like a champ.- Marked As Answer by Midnitelouie Monday, December 31, 2012 8:00 PM

Have to enter the port 8530 in the GPO line as well or what ever port you put in for WSUS server. 8530 seems to be the default. And I get paid for this to!
