Cannot uninstall WSUS from Server

Greetings,
I was going to move my WSUS role to a hyper-v machine as I have had problems with WSUS for a while (never so bad that it I could not figure out the problem) and I thought it would be a good idea to get the database of the DC as the BPA suggests. I am trying to uninstall the WSUS but I keep getting the below error message.
<Informational>: This server might need to be restarted after the removal completes. Windows Server Update Services
Windows Server Update Services: Removal failed
<Error>: Attempt to un-install Windows Server Update Services failed with error code 0x80070643. Fatal error during installation Please refer to the full log at: 'C:\Windows\logs\ServerManager.log'
I have tried to uninstall .Net Framework 4.0 but to no avail. I have tried to uninstall the Windows Internatl Database but that will not uninstall because WSUS is dependent on that. I tried uninstalling WSUS from the Progams and Features but it's not there. Unfortunately Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is not longer available so that is not an option and I am out of ideas.
Anyone have a better idea or a clue what might be going on?
