console adds wsus server everytime it launches

I now have 5 entries for the same wsus server in the console to choose from for management. They all of course provide the same info and the same computers, updates etc... And it will not stop adding the view of the same wsus server. Next time I launch it there wil be 6, then 7 then 8. Removing the multiple entries works, but they just keep adding in evertime the console is launched. This is directly on the wsus server. Any ideas why this would occur?

Hi Rolf
Any other ideas? As that seems to be specific to 2008; Not 2003 which is what the server is running on. Or at least I see no "integrated console" in Server Management
Thanks Mike

Hi,
Please try the following steps:
1. On your WSUS server, go to %appdata%\Microsoft\MMC\
2. Delete all the files under MMC folder.
3. Restart the server and open WSUS console.WSUS 3.0 console is actually a MMC snap-in, so every time you open the console, it will use the file under MMC folder, deleting this file is just like deleting the cache, so next time you open a console, it will create a new snap-in in the MMC.

Clarence

Your User and SYSTEM should have "Full Control".Regards
