WSUS proxy settings clearing every 30min
- I am running WSUS 3 sp1.
In the WSUS admin console I go options> Update Source and Proxy Server > Proxy server tab I set a proxy sever and user account. Then about every 30min it unticks the Use a proxy server when synchronizing tick box.
Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas on what is changing it.

- Hi,
there are domain policies applied on wsus server ?
... something like scripts that prevent caching passwords ?

I check the domain polices and there is nothing like caching passwords set. I have updated wsus to service pack 2 and we still have the same problem. - neither scripts that prevent saving network password there are in your domain ?

i have the same issue with my test sccm evironment, i wonder if this is a common problem. there is so far no KB for this one.
btw have you found an answer for this yet?- do you set credentials of a user that is authorized to browse through proxy server ?

edo[at]mvps[dot]org - In my case (probably not the threadstarter) yes i did set it with proper credentials.
It works for a while ..then after a couple of minutes or so the setting swtich back to blank (ie no proxy credentials ie the "Use user credentials to connect to the proxy server" checkbox is unselected.
fyi. once it unchecked.
