Adil, thanks for your response but that didn't help. My win8pro client still getting "Windows update failed to download update" on my eventviewer under Microsoft > Windows > WindowsUpdateClient > Operational log
Basically, my win8pro client should get updates from my wsus server but that's not happening..... :(
... and error on windowsupdate.log is above..

The About->Help screen in the MMC is not a reliable place to check version information after applying an MSP-based update.
Please use the Details Pane of the Root Node of the WSUS Console, lower right corner, to get the installed version of the WSUS server.
