This should rather happen if the synchronization with microsoft update site fails, and would have nothing to do with automated approval.- Proposed As Answer by Adil Rathore Friday, January 11, 2013 10:32 AM

We need to assume if a software application not update it by a update sofware package syncronize by WSUS. It will more certain be deploy and it will either be install if it sets by default as auto. No if it is set mannual but it will be deploy.
So I scan a machine..... and encounter a vulnerability staying the update software is not install in the machine... Most likely the problem will not be on WSUS part. The problem will be on the oher end either must be install manually.... There are no other problems except for syncronization issues this could be observe by WSUS reports.

Yes, also in case the update is approved, there may be instances where there would be issues with the patch not installing on the workstation due to registry corruptions etc. In that case manual intervention would be needed for installing the patch.- Marked As Answer by mjocasio23 Friday, January 11, 2013 5:18 PM
