    Hello everyone - first time poster here, my apologies if it takes me a bit to get good at giving all the information needed...

    Seeing some strange results when trying to apply MS12-074 in our environment.  It appears as though all the other components of the patch, the different iterations, 2.0, 3.5 etc install without issue.  Once Win7-x64 Machines get to the KB2729449 patch, it seems that the patch initiates its download, tries to check the hash against the server and fails.  I know there have been instances of this where you can attribute it to different versions of packages on DP's or what have you, but the odd part is, if you try to run the patch, and it fails, you can just close that out and reopen the Software Updates window, run it again, and it will then work.

    We also have Cisco Security Agent on all workstations, and it records an issue at the same time in an error that says:

    [LMM][mscorsvw.exe] CsaSigTrackGetViolationPayload(), TryLockForRead failed : internal error from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\mscorsvw.exe

    Here's a bit from the Application event log on one of the machines it fails on -

    I see where there is a MS page for that error at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2507641/en-US - but I dont know that it applies because if you re-initiate the deployment, it will work most of the time...

    Please feel free to ask any questions, I redacted machine names and server names, and we are seeing this on about 8-10% of machines that it gets sent to.  Majority of machines it is ok on, but can't seem to find any constant in this.  Sorry if this isnt enough info, or if I am not clear enough.  I know Mr. Garvin will likely figure it out in under 10 seconds. :) I'm fairly convinced he's a machine. The rest of the environment is functioning fine - no issues in any particular location, majority of the failures are in the same location as the primary site.  I have even gone so far as to redownload the patches completely to make sure there are no corruptions, also created a completely different update list to rule that out as well.
