Answerside-by-side configuration error when opening up PDF files-Vista

    I get a side-by-side configuation error when trying to open up PDF files. This happened over night awhile back.  Nothing new at the time had been installed. The error message said to go to the event log.  I went to the event log and found that MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.  I do not know what a snap in is to fix it. I am not knowledgable, just broke and have to fix myself.
