Hi,

I have a problem with my Windows Media Player. I have Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11. Every time I open Windows Media Player, it freezes up and stops responding completely. A blue bar appears at the top of the screen that says "Windows Media Player Not Responding." The program will not do anything. It will not even close. Even if I use ctrl+alt+del to end the task, it will not close or respond in any way. The cursor turns into a sand time thing to show it is thinking, or trying to do something. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can get Windows Media Player running properly again?

As a moderated forum is it not possible to delete/remove the posts of all the off-topic issues here.
I'm an ITIL v3 Expert qualified consultant, a previous employee of Microsoft, and huge fan and contributer to earlier versions of MOF but the clutter on this forum makes it almost impossible to see when a new issue has been raised and the value of any answers posted is lost to potential forum users.

Printer and drivers uninstalled and re-installed in attempt to solve problem. Dell laptop control panel indicates printer recognized, set as default printer and ready to use. Print command will not start printer. The following error message is repeatedly received during troubleshooting:

Hi All,

I create a Micrsoft Visual Basic program in the Excel. The program is running without any problem before.
But today when I run the program there are error message

Runtime error '-2147467259 (80004005)'
[Microsoft] [odbc sql server driver][dbnetlib]
General network error. Check your network documentation.

Then when I click into the Debug mode and press F5 again, the program will continual run and complete again.
Please advice how can I resovle this?

Response.Redirect is not working properly

I am working on ASP.net 1.1 application. I am using response.redirect to redirect from a page A to B. The code for redirect is very first block on Page load of A. The redirection is conditional. If provided condition is satisfied then only redirect to B. Means code of page A should not be executed if condition is true.
It works fine on local machine but when deployed on production it fails. It does not redirect to B page and stays on A page.
Again this is not happening everytime only some times.

local and production enviroment is same all ISS version and IE versions are also same. Only difference is local has .net framework upto 3.5 and on production it is upto 2.0.

Please help to solve this problem...

I have a Gateway laptop with windows vista, I have missed my scheduled back-ups by not putting a disk into the computer the night of the schedule. when I try to back-up my computer manually everything seems fine until it asks for me to insert a second disk, but when I try to do that, the disk drawer will not open allowing me to install the second disk. I have to stop the back-up & shut down the computer & then restart to finally open the door. Any help would be nice thanks

Question on Creating Service Map for a Software Application

I am currently in the process of creating Service Maps for all the Application Services for which we provide support.

I have some confusion on what needs to be included in the section for Application Streams. The e.g given in the Microsoft site is for Windows Vista Desktop service (which is somewhat different). The maps being created by me are for an Application Service (e.g SAP)

Looking for any sample/templates/guidance/tips on how to define that Stream.

I'm creating a report in MS Access 2007.
On the report open event I want to add some coding.
If onOpen event I create a macro that displays the msgbox "open", when I open the report
the msgbox with the text "open" appears, but if instead of a macro I create an event procedure:
msgbox "open" it doesn't work.
I tried the same on MS Access 2000 and it works for both ways.
Is there anything that I need to activate in order to have MS Access 2007 recognise VBA procedures?

Dear sir/madam..
this is preets from india.i am facing a big problem..i am nt recognizing that as a virus activity or somthing else..The problem is whenever i want to boot my computer due to the mouse port/jack my keyboard gets inactive.but whenever i am removing my ps2 mouse jack from port all thing is ok.I have already tested the mouse,but it is working properly on other computer...(Also i hv formatted my system 2-3 times)

(Okay before you answer my question please note everything I have ALREADY done...)

I have an IBM Thinkpad T21. At the Windows Welcome screen, upon clicking on User/Administrator to login, the system PLAYS ME like it's going to login, but then logs right back out, going back to the User menu/Welcome screen. I have tried:

-Using the Windows XP install disk to reload the OS.
-Going to BIOS Menu and changing the start-up to CD Rom.
-Using F12 to pull up Boot Device and choosing it to load from the CD Rom
-Using F8 to load in each mode; Safe, Safe with Networking, Safe with Command Prompt, Directory Recovery

I absolutely cannot login to Windows XP to run command prompts or anything else. There is no way of reinstalling Winlogon.exe or even getting into the Windows XP disk without logging in first, as BIOS is not recognizing the disk.

There are no passwords set; I've run a scan on C: from F8, says its clean. I cannot extract anything from the CD, as it is not recognizing it, although the CD drive is functioning correctly.

I do know how to access System Recovery without going through the CD, so if anyone has any other ideas, please help. I would PREFER not to have to spend money on repair software.

I'm sure this is due to a virus.

Someone deleted my SoundMAX application and now I cannot get sound on my videos and other
applications that require sound. I ran a systems check on problem drivers and the results were I do
not have a video controller and that my multimedia audio controller was not configured.

I attempted to reinstall Windows Media Player 11 to see if I a sound codec,for videos or SoundMAX
would reinstall with it. The installation did not complete because of error message 8007F205.

Would anyone happen to know what is error message 8007F205, and how do I resolve this error?
