IE 8 Search Bar Error Message
IE 8 Search Bar Error Message
- When typing in a phrase in the search bar the search suggestions dropdown displays "an error occurred" and does not display any suggestions, unless I go directly to the search provider and use their own search on their website. I have tried removing Internet Explorer 8 and reinstalling it but it did not fix the issue. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

- Try this, click on internet options, on the general tab, click the "tabs; settings" and click restore defaults, then on the security tab, in every zone click default level, then go to advanced tab and click "restore advanced settings" .

I followed your suggestion and still getting the same issue.
Sever- try this,, on the right side of the search bar,, on the arrow,, click and a drop down menu will give you the choice "find more providers" click that and on the page it takes you to, find the provider you want and add it.
- I have tried adding yahoo, google, and bing and still getting the same issue.
Sever - Try disabling compatibilty view, under "tools" in the browser, make sure that the compatibilty view isnt checked
- I tried these steps again and actually this second time closed the browser and restarted it and it worked.
