I own a Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop and I do not have any XP cd's or recovery. But i know for me to restore i press ctr and f11 is the only way. When I do so it gives me a keyboard failure if i tap too much or if i dont tap f11 too much it just takes me to log in window. sometimes it takes me to the setup window. What can be the probelm? IS there a solution?

- It could be that the Windows 7 installation has wiped out your Dell recovery partition. If so, contact Dell for a set of restore disks.

Are you sure your not suppose to hit F8? That’s the key I hit to start the menu to load the repair system.
