Error code: 0x80070570
Error code: 0x80070570
- I got my copy of Windows 7 from Tiger direct on the 22. After an attempt at installing, I got an "Error code: 0x80070570" Has anyone else gotten this error? Does anyone know how to fix it?
I'm running an ASUS G1S Laptop with Vista SP1 32-bit.

- Got solution for your problem, the problem is with the media DVD you have, you need to burn at 1x or 2x speeds, and after the burn run a CRC check utility to prevent this from happening. For more information on the same error, but this one is on VISAT installation and iam sure it implies to Windows 7 as well because this wan't to do anything with Operating System installation files, it has to do with the way you Burn the Disc using to Install.here is the link http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistasetup/thread/b8d9f2e2-0da6-4284-ba3e-599a37f5815aRegards,Zakwww.iloveuzak.com

- Can you please paste here your installation log? if you are not sure where to see the log have a look here for log file locations on installation.Regards,Zakwww.iloveuzak.com
- I'm unable to locate the log file from installation. If it helps, it was the upgrade disk, not the "Full Install" disk.

Frapiscide stated he received the DVD from Tiger Direct on the 22nd, so it was retail, not burned. I am also having the same problem with an ASUS A7S laptop running Vista 32-bit. Error code: 0x8007057 when Setup is transferring files to install. I have tried chkdsk and other methods found online to resolve this to no avail. Would appreciate someone who fixed this to clue us in on what to try. - Hi numbersix6

- Yes I too have the same problem. One source on the internet said I had some Vista file missing. Is this true and if so what can I do about it?

I had same problem problem when upgrading from vista turned out to be memory conflict. I have 2X 1gb ddr2 memory. Removed the second one and everything then loaded up fine and ran ok with remaining 1 gig. Reinstalled other memory module after and it all still works ok. Hope this helps.
